Prof. Priyam A. Parikh currently holds the position of assistant professor at the Institute of Design, Nirma University. He possesses a Doctorate in mechanical engineering and robotics. He was honored with the Dr. Vikram A. Sarabhai Senior Science Laureate Awards in 2024. He possesses a decade of academic experience and three years of industrial experience. He is interested in open-source electronics, HCI design, robotics, smart product design, the Internet of Things, mechatronics, industrial design, UX/UI, industry 4.0, and artificial intelligence. He has authored over 12 scholarly articles in international journals and presented 25 talks at conferences, all focused on the fields of mechatronics, automation, and robotics. He was honored with the prestigious best paper award at the 4th International Conference on Robotics, which took place in Budapest, Hungary, in December 2019. The Institute of Scholars, Bangalore has given him the Young Researcher Award. In addition, he serves as a reviewer for the International Journal of Mechanical Engineering and Intelligent Robotic systems.
